Not Knowing
We go through this life not knowing what to expect. We laugh, we cry, we hurt, we smile. We dance in the rain and laugh with the sunlight. Our eyes gleam at the sight of a loved one and our bodies quiver with excitement at the twinkling of stars under the moonlight.
We go through life not knowing how one event, action, or relationship will forever shape our lives. How that one encounter will resurface years later and turn our life upside down, or right side up.
We go through life not knowing how our past affects our future, or how our today affects our tomorrows.
We go through life not knowing. Until we know. Yet, at every stage of "not knowing," something is etched in our memory, in our heart, and in our being. And that one tiny etching is the "knowing" that is left behind our seemingly "not knowing."
